Samuel J. Potolicchio, MD, is a triple board-certified neurologist bringing over 40 years of clinical and surgery-related experience to his practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
Dr. Potolicchio earned his medical degree from Geneva University Faculty of Medicine in Geneva, Switzerland. Following his graduation, he completed a residency in neurology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, and a fellowship at the Montreal Neurological Institute in Montreal, Quebec.
Dr. Potolicchio is certified in neurology, sleep medicine, and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine at Sibley Memorial Hospital and is the director of the Neurophysiology Center and associate medical director of the Center for Sleep Disorders.
In addition to contributing to numerous publications on neurology topics, Dr. Potolicchio has been named a Top Doctor by the Washingtonian Magazine, Super Doctor by the Washington Post, and a Top MD by Consumers' Checkbook Magazine.
